What is Winton Glass?
Winton Glass is a Philadelphia-based stained glass studio owned and operated by artist Erica Mikulski. We create handcrafted stained glass art, offer public and private classes, and sell unique glass pieces and gift items.
Where are you located?
Our studio is at 1527 Jackson St, Philadelphia, PA 19145. Street parking is available nearby.
Do you have regular open hours?
We are open during scheduled classes, events, and by appointment for purchases or consultations. Check our website or social media for updated hours.
Can I buy stained glass pieces without taking a class?
Yes! We regularly create ready-made sun catchers, panels, and custom artwork available for purchase in-studio or at local markets.
Do you take custom orders?
Absolutely. We love working with clients to design one-of-a-kind pieces for homes, gifts, or special occasions. Contact us to discuss your vision, budget, and timeline.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, gift cards can be used toward classes, workshops, or in-studio purchases.
Events & Rentals
Can I host a private event at the studio?
Yes! We offer private stained glass workshops for birthdays, team-building events, bachelorette parties, and more. You can also rent our space for creative gatherings that don’t involve glasswork.
Do you vend at markets?

Repairs & Restoration
Do you repair or restore stained glass?
We offer simple repair services. We can also refer to our expert colleagues for more complex repairs and restoration. Bring your piece in for an assessment.
Studio Policies
Is the studio accessible?
Our space is on the ground floor, but please contact us about specific mobility or accessibility needs so we can accommodate you.
Are children allowed in the studio?
Children are welcome at specific youth or family workshops only when specified. Although we adore all members of our community, we find that children and glass sometimes don’t go together. For safety reasons, regular stained glass classes are for ages 18+ unless otherwise stated. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times when visiting the studio.
Do you collaborate with other artists?
Yes! We love creative partnerships. Reach out if you’re a local maker, gallery, or business interested in working together.
Classes
Do I need prior experience to join a class?
Our “make your own” and 1-day classes are designed for all levels. Whether you've never touched glass before or have years of experience, we’ll guide you through every step in our supportive, creative environment. If you’re interested in continuing your craft, we offer more advance classes for those who have completed our intro instruction or come with a solid foundation in glass art.
What will I make during the class?
You’ll walk away with your very own stained glass piece, from simple sun catchers to more intricate designs, depending on the class length. Some classes will be focused on a specific projects, and for others you will choose from a selection of templates.
What’s included in the class?
All tools, materials, and safety gear (like gloves and goggles) are provided. Just bring yourself—plus closed-toe shoes and anything personal you’d like (e.g., reading glasses for detailed work, water bottles).

Where and when do classes take place?
Classes are held at our studio in South Philadelphia- check the schedule online to find a time that fits. We also maintain waitlists and update them if a spot opens up .
What’s the cancellation policy?
We understand things come up. Generally, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the class to avoid forfeiting your fee- sessions are non-refundable within that window
What should I bring with me?
Closed-toe shoes (safety first!)
Reading glasses if needed for fine detail work
A water bottle to stay hydrated
Below knee length clothing is recommended!
Is stained glass difficult to learn?
Not at all! Many folks think it’s intimidating, but with hands-on guidance and clear instructions, you'll find it surprisingly approachable and deeply rewarding
Can I book a class as a gift?
Yes! Gift certificates are available and make a perfect present, especially for anyone who loves making things with their hands.
What about safety and cleanup?
We follow all industry‑standard safety practices, from wearing protective gear to thorough cleanup. We'll walk you through each step so you can learn safely and confidently.
